Chickenfoot has firmed up its "2011 Road Test Tour," a five-city stretch in support of the just-released album, "Chickenfoot III."
The outfit -- helmed by Sammy Hagar and featuring Joe Satriani (guitar), Michael Anthony (bass) and Chad Smith (drums) -- will kick off the quick run with a Nov. 1 performance in San Francisco, followed by gigs in Los Angeles (11/2), St. Louis (11/4), Chicago (11/5) and New York City (11/8). European dates will be announced later this month, according to a press release. Tickets for the U.S. shows go on sale Friday (10/7).
"Chickenfoot III," which, despite the moniker is the group's sophomore set, hit shelves late last month and debuted at No. 9 on The Billboard 200. The effort, produced by Mike Fraser, features a 3D package with optical illusions and special codes that fans can see with the 3D glasses included in the set. website.
Last week, Chickenfoot celebrated the eOne Music release with a free live concert webcast. The musicians performed songs from the new record and hosted a 30-minute Q&A session with fans.
The new album follows the group's gold-certified eponymous debut, which surfaced in 2009 and peaked at No. 3 on The Billboard Top 100.
