Throttle Up song has been entered into the contest 1/9/2011 I want to thank my online Band mates Torie and Joe Thursday night 1/6/2011 I had to come up with a song I've had this guitar riff for 20 years. I got online with Ejamming Audio and chatted with Torie aka THP32 We talked about what we could do with the song. we had 2 days Friday 1/7/2011 I went to work with the words in my head Throttle up When the Challenger blew up it was when NASA said Throttle up We all held our Breath and cried at what we saw in the sky Every Shuttle launch with the word Throttle up my Wife and I would hold our Breath and pray the Shuttle made it past Throttle up and kept soaring into Space. So here I am having to come up with a song playing my guitar riff. Throttle up kept popping up in my Head While at work I wrote up on the board the 1 verse to Throttle up Song, my version. My Boss Gary came up with the 2nd verse that fit perfect to the space theme. When I got home, I went online and read some space websites and came up with the 3rd verse The Chorus I came up with what would the crew be saying to the Commander of the Shuttle Endeavour. Saturday 1/8/2011 I went into my home recording Studio and made 2 Acoustic Guitar Tracks left and Right and then 1 stereo Drum track I sent the Audio to Torie and Joe Sunday 1/9/2011 at 10:00 Am I open to my e-mail to Torie Guitar Audio and Joe Bass Audio. I was blown away with there parts. I went into my studio using Cubase 5 and imported the Audio Then I was able to add the Harmonica and Vocals Torie and I listen to the tracks in Ejamming Audio We could hear one part was missing. Torie made a Lead track and sent it to me I went back in the Studio and made the final mix down 1/9/2011 at 8:30 PM I uploaded to NASA Wake up the Astronauts website The File could not be any bigger then 1.5 MB MP3 and Approx 1 to 2 min long. Throttle up was uploaded at 1.47 MB with 96 Bit rate. Throttle up Song was born Doz Acoustic Guitar, Drums, Harmonica Doz sang Lead and Backup vocals Torie played Electric Guitar and Lead Joe played Bass Joe and Torie you are my online brothers and I love you You-tube Video and Song below, Enjoy

Last Updated: Thursday, January 13, 2011 5:45 PM BREVARD COUNTY -- Astronauts have long since collected space rocks, but since the days of Apollo, they also have at times 'rocked' as part of waking up in space. A lifelong Space Coast musician is hoping his song will win a NASA contest -- one involving the last shuttle mission. Melbourne's Dozier Mills is a one man show. He plays guitar, drums, harmonica and more. He also writes songs -- and when the self proclaimed space junkie heard from a friend about NASA's Space Rock contest, he blasted off at the chance with two buddies he jams with over the internet. “So I started playing this guitar riff, and we started chatting,” Mills said. “Then came the words 'throttle up,' it's time to go." He's seen every shuttle launch, including Challenger, which was destroyed 25 years ago this month just seconds after the command was given to throttle up. Hence the title of his song. In the lyrics, Endeavour is now set to be the last scheduled mission this April. The contest has 1,300 original composition entries with just two winners. The odds of winning are like the distance from Earth to the space station. But Mills is hoping for that word that would launch his song 220 miles into orbit. “It would bean honor,” Mills said. “It really would be.” The public will be allowed to vote for their favorite song beginning three weeks before launch. The top two vote getters will be played during STS-134's mission. http://www.cfnews13.com/article/news...with-Endeavour

Very welcome buddy, i got a good feeling about this song, i think you are gonna win, it's so original, and not from a big name band either, and i think it will help with you being from Florida and so close too NASA. :) By the way...it's very catchy, Throttle Up, oh hell ya

Thank you Rory
The Throttle Up song came from my heart I sat in front of my studio PC mixing Throttle Up song. I was thanking my angels for letting the words flow. Having 2 days to create a song was a lot of pressure. My 2 online band mates Torie and Joe came through for me Joe sent me an audio mix of his bass with Torie first guitar. I sat there Sunday Morning with this Audio mix and cried. I felt so blessed having such an amazing group of friends If I was to win It would be honor and a dream come true. To have Pennie with me to see a Launch up close
