Hey Doz. I enjoyed your life story. Everything is rock solid in a classroom environment. I'm sure they have a fine product, but you have to set it up, see it operate for an extended period on a large scale and integrate other equipment to it to get a total feel for how solid it is. I'm sure you will get to have the full experience with it and see some of the limitations that ALL controls have ( yes, even Siemens as you know LOL) due to their balance between price, function, features and software. If Loytec is that good, I may have to come to you for a job

Glad you are enjoying the training. See ya when you can stay home for more than 24 hours 'till then I'll see ya here

New Testo 570 RSA

NEW! Testo 570 Refrigeration System Analyzer with Vacuum Measurement and Data Logging and Printing Capability

Take testing to the next level with the Testo 570. Coupled with Easy-Kool Software, the 570 is the most powerful and feature rich analyzer available today. Data logging a refrigeration system opens a window into the refrigeration system allowing the technician to see not only what is happening, but what happened over time. The built in vacuum measurement allows the technician to know when they have reached the limits when evacuating a system. Building upon the easy to use testo 550 platform, the 570 has 3 NTC temperature probe inputs and can simultaneously calculate superheat and subcooling in real time while measuring another temperature like outdoor ambient or oil pressure or compressor current with optional probes. The 570 is ideal for servicing, maintaining and commissioning all types of air conditioning systems. The 570 will also perform leak tests on AC/R systems with temperature compensation, insuring accurate results. The testo 570 retains the robust housing that protects the analyzer from the everyday bumps and drops. It comes complete with 2 clamp probes, integrated hook, built in hose holders and a hard carrying case.
Includes digital manifold, 2 clamp probes, batteries, calibration record and hard case
Features

  • Built in Vacuum Measurement
  • Aluminum valve block with 4 connections and built in sight glass
  • 3 temperature probe inputs for simultaneous real-time calculation of superheat and subcooling
  • Readings are displayed in seconds
  • Compact easy to use, transport, and setup
  • Large easy to read back-lit display
  • Robust housing that protects the analyzer
  • 40 Refrigerants on-board eliminating the need for PT charts
Sensors

  • PSI / MPa / Bar / kPa
  • Temperature F / C / K
  • Vacuum Micron / Torr / inH2O / C / inHg / Pa
  • Sensors: Pressure 2 x pressure sensors
  • Temperature 3 x NTC
  • Hose connections 3 x 1/4 SAE, 1x 3/8 SAE
  • Each of the temperature probe leads are 4 feet 9 inches long, tip of clamp to end of wire.
Measuring ranges:

  • Pressure HP/LP (rel): -14.7 to 725 psi / -100 to 5000 kPa -0.1 to 5 MPa/ -1 to 50 bar
  • Temperature: -58 to 302F / -50 to +150C
  • Vacuum (rel) -1 to 0 bar
  • Overload pressure 52 bar, 5200 kPa, 5.2 MPa, 754 psi
Resolution:

  • Pressure 0.01 bar / 0.1 psi / 1 kPa / 0.001 MPa
  • Temperature 0.1C / 0.1F
  • Vacuum 1 hPa / 1 mBar / 0.5 Torr / 0.5 inH2O / 0.02 inHg / 500 Micron / 100 Pa Accuracy (@ 22C/71.6F):
  • Pressure 0.5% fs (1 digit)
  • Temperature 0.5 C (1 digit)
  • Vacuum 1% fs (1 digit)
NOTE: When testing the 557 and 570 we found the vacuum sensor resolution a little lackluster. A 500 micron resolution will tell you are in a vacuum, and if the gauge reads 0 microns you are somewhere below 500, but that is all. For high vacuum resolution we recommend the BluVac Digital Micron Gauge used with core tools to isolate hoses from the system.
40 Refrigerants On-Board

(no refrigerant), R12, R22, R123, R134a, R227, R290, R401A, R401B, R402A, R402B, R404A, R406A, R407A, R407C, R408A, R409A, R410A, R411A, R413A, R414B, R416A, R417A, R420A, R421A, R421B, R417A, R420A, R421A, R421B, R422A, R422B, R422D, R424A, R427A, R434A, R437A, R438A, R502, R503, R507, R600, R600a, R718, R744 (only up to 50bar / 725psi), R1234yf (displayed as T8)

Easy Temperature and Humidity Logging

Do you ever need to track temperatures or humidity levels in a certain space for an extended period of time? Sometimes taking just one reading doesn’t give you a big enough picture; that’s when a data logger comes in

Handy. UEi, a leading manufacturer of testing and monitoring equipment, has a great data logger on the market. It’s small, inexpensive, easy to use, and doesn’t require the purchase of software to download the data.
It has a magnetic mount that makes it easy to “hide,” and it can log up to 32,000 data points (16,000 temperature and 16,000 humidity). The temperature range is -40 to 158 degrees F, and the humidity range is 0 to 100% . You can select your sampling intervals to be anywhere from 2 seconds up to 24 hours, and you can set values that will trigger the built-in LED alarm. It is Windows compatible with a USB interface, so when you are finished gathering your data, you simply plug it in to the USB port of your computer to download the information. The included software allows you to chart your results, calculate dew points and export the data to other file formats. It operatates on a 3.6v lithium battery and has a one-year limited warranty.
To learn more about UEi data logger or any other great UEi measurement equipment, check out their website here.

USB Temp/Humidity Datalogger
Includes Software Replaces the THL1 that would not work with windows 7 The THL2 does. As of 1/6/11 we have both under the new part number.
Use the UEi THL1 to log temperature and humidity values for later analysis. Verify cold storage requirements are being met, or test temperatures and humidity for comfort analysis.
Features

  • 32,000 data points (16,000 Temperature, 16,000 Relative Humidity)
  • Analysis software with dew point calculation, charting of results, and export to other file formats
  • USB interface and Windows® compatible software
  • Instant or manual start
  • Alarm LED’s with user selectable values
  • Magnetic mount
  • Long battery life
  • One year limited warranty
