Default WD My Cloud BE Warned PC users

My Cloud Software WD Smart Ware Windows 2.4.4 makes Windows Explorer stop working on 2ea. Win 7 Pro Sp1 64 bit PC

After installing WD Smart Ware Windows release 2.4.4 and setting up the following services to automatic: Per WD Tech Support to make My Cloud work:

Service you will have to change:

- Net tcp (listener & port sharing) = automatic
- Network discovery = automatic
- All services that start with "network" = automatic
- Ssdp discovery = automatic
- Upnp device host = automatic
- Volume shadow copy = automatic
- Workstation = automatic

I started having both PC's running WD My Cloud started having issue with Windows Explorer has stopped working

Microsoft support tells me.
Some applications or services running on your PC may be causing Windows Explorer to stop working

NOTE
I have uninstalled all My Cloud software for Win7 64

I have put all service back to normal
Both Win 7 64bit PC are now running perfect with NO Issue.

This post is to let you know of issue you may encounter with My Cloud software. Your PC may not have this issue. But if you start changing your services. Good Luck

I found it strange that two perfectly good running PC start having issues after installing WD software. I worked with WD Tech Support.

All you hear is your PC is the issue.
I tell them to stop pointing fingers and start testing your software.

Stop trying to make paying customers into your beta testers.
