Default Slow computer when starting up? check out "Autoruns" freeware

Autoruns is a Program that displays all of your Auto Start entries for your computer. If you notice your computer is pretty slow when it first starts up or in general, you might have too many programs running, two solutions are to uninstall unwanted programs or prevent them from starting up and run them only when you need them.

Autoruns allows you to stop various programs from starting up with windows or browsers like internet explorer, Also it allows you to do more difficult things like view your installed services, tasks and codecs.

It is a simple and complex program at the same time, the first 3 simple tabs have entries that most users can easily recognize are labeled "Logon", "Explorer" and "Internet Explorer".

As always if you are unsure of what it is, it is probably best left alone, I would recommend anyone to just Google the file name you're unsure of and you will often find an explanation of what the program is, as an example most of the other tabs might be best left to more experienced users.
