Cisco to prepare the CRS-3
Cisco to prepare the CRS-3 server to anticipate the next generation Internet
The development of internet speeds continuously improved, internet speed is by the time is higher so it is not useful if the server is not fast too. What will happen is what we usually call the “Bottle Neck”. Fortunately, Cisco has been prepared to anticipate all Internet users will more and Internet speeds increase. Through a new server technology called CRS-3, expected later this system can overcome the above problems. CRS-3 which is the latest generation of the CRS-1 is capable of transferring data up to 322 TB/sec (previously only 92 TB/s). In theory, with such speed, a digital library in the U.S. Congress (Library of Congress) can be downloaded only within approximately 1 second. Or with this speed, each person in China with a population of more than 1 billion, can do video calls simultaneously. Another advantage of this system is (especially for owners of CRS-1 technology) do not have to worry about the cost of a cheaper upgrade and downtime issues because of the CRS-3 can be installed directly replace the CRS-1 without having to first turn off the entire system.
