PC reboots why?
I have a high end custom build Win 7 Pro 64 bit AMD 8 core PC.
I have the Asus Sabertooth 990FX, I used the stock heat sink from AMD to put on the CPU for cooling. Note still having random reboots and found if memory is set for Default ECC then Disable it. Go into advanced bios - advanced settings - North-bridge - memory settings - change ECC to disabled If your Asus Sabertooth 990FX PC is still rebooting, Then go to BIOS and set to Factory Default. If PC still black screens and reboots then replace PC power supply PSU. I changed mine to a better grade modular PSU and my reboot problem was resolved. I have heard from a friend that his black screen reboot was a Radeon graphics card was the issue. lately I had PC randomly Shut down and this is my work PC. So I did some checking and looks like the CPU is running 54C about 118 F Normal CPU Temp are 50C for Dual core. I had a Zalmon 9700 CPU heat sink on my Shelf of PC part I clean both heat sink and CPU with Arcticlean and have silver thermal paste. I installed the Zalmon into my work PC and CPU temp is now 34C
